Powder Puff Derby is our version of the Pinewood Derby for Girl Scouts. Girls can enter either register as an individual or a troop. Each girl must create and bring her own powderpuff derby car. Girls who attend the race without a troop MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We will race at Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Conroe, Tx. There is no cost for the event, but all girls must be registered one week prior to the race. Trophies will be given to the 1st through 3rd place winners for each level. Ribbons and creativity awards will be given to each girl.
Parents have requested that they be allowed to make a car and race as well. So after everyone has raced, the parents and siblings for the girls of that level will be allowed to race their own cars.
Please stick with only Boy Scout Official Pinewood Derby Cars.

Please, please, please purchase your kits at the Boy Scout Shop. There is one located in Conroe. Some of the kits (especially the precut kits) from the craft stores struggle to make it down the track. At the Boy Scout Shop, they are very helpful. We let them know every year that we are planning this event and they stock up for us! They are also very helpful with all of your car needs and will even weigh the car for you!
